Edgewater Recovery Center’s residential treatment program is a treatment model that combines the latest clinical models with evidence-based therapies, and 12-Step principles. Patients take part in individual, group, and family therapy, along with intensive case management and a unique life skills program. Each of our patients receives individualized treatment from a licensed therapist. We combine this with group treatment. Our focus is on triggers, women-specific issues, family dynamics, relapse prevention and spirituality. Edgewater offers the most proven holistic and comprehensive treatment for women suffering from substance abuse.

Edgewater’s long-term treatment program offers patients a full continuum of care. Here, they step through phases of treatment, learning the necessary skills to achieve a lifetime of sustainable recovery. A long term, phase model of treatment allows the patient the importance of clinical work, but also the ability to transition back into everyday living. This has proven to be the most beneficial to a person suffering from drug addiction and alcoholism.

Edgewater Recovery Center’s long-term treatment program allows for this vital extended engagement. Our program also facilitates intensive family involvement in treatment. Our patients are given the freedom to stumble or struggle while in a safe, caring and therapeutic clinical setting. It is Edgewater's purpose to offer the most complete addiction treatment services, supporting the best recovery outcomes, for both patients and their families.

During Edgewater's long-term treatment program, while stepping down through phases of treatment, patients live in a fully staffed, structured non-institutional community living setting. Our facility is for women only. Patients live together, forming bonds and lasting friendships within the community. This supervised setting supports patient responsibility through peer-to-peer accountability. Our beautiful facility, staffed 24/7 with Edgewater's Residential Managers (RM’s), helps our patients learn important life skills outside of the clinical environment.

Edgewater's long-term program connects the 12-Step philosophy to the unique pressures women with addiction face. This includes introduction to the 12 step community through meetings, fellowship, and sponsorship. Our life skills sessions connect you with support staff, employment education, and community participation. Structured community living allows patients the support and care they need while working through substance abuse, as well as behavioral and emotional issues.

The longer a person can take advantage of treatment and recovery services, the stronger chance they have of achieving and maintaining lasting sobriety.

Edgewater Recovery Center is an extended-care addiction recovery program. Our Outpatient therapy, for alcohol and drug addiction and chemical dependency, is a step down from the long-term program. The outpatient program also includes individual and group therapy sessions. In this phase of treatment the client’s treatment plan will be changed to meet her ongoing recovery needs.

Here, the focus shifts towards external change. Clients will explore long-term goals, as well as identify and break down barriers to their freedom from addiction. The staff at Edgewater Recovery Center will continue to support the client in their Journey of Recovery.
